Meditation Fundamentals

At Ananda, meditation is more than a practice—it’s a path to remembering who we truly are.

Within the realm of meditation, there are hundreds of techniques drawn from ancient traditions, spiritual lineages, and modern science. From shamanic journeying to yoga nidra, mindfulness to mantra, loving-kindness to visualization—the diversity of paths reflects the diversity of people they serve. And each method holds its own key.

​

People come to meditation for many reasons: to reduce stress, heal the body, quiet the mind, improve sleep, or deepen self-awareness. Some come seeking peace. Others, transformation. Some come to connect with the divine; others, simply to feel again.

​

But at Ananda, we recognise that meditation is not just about stillness - it’s also about self-inquiry. These classes are as much about meditation as they are about asking the big questions: Who am I? Why am I here? Why do I suffer? Why do the same patterns keep repeating in my life? Through gentle exploration, we begin to identify limiting beliefs, emotional imprints, and energetic patterns that live beneath our awareness.

By slowing down brainwaves and moving beyond the analytical mind, meditation gives us access to the deeper layers of consciousness. We become witnesses to our own thoughts and feelings—not bound by them, but aware of them. From this space, we reclaim choice. We stop looping. We stop feeding thoughts that keep us small. And we begin to align with intention, possibility, and healing.

Meditation Fundamentals is a deep exploration into both the techniques and the why behind them—integrating timeless wisdom with modern science. These sessions are designed to help you access stillness, understand your inner architecture, and open the doorway to transformation from the inside out.

Theta Healing Transformational Sessions

In a Theta Healing Transformation Session with Nicole, you’ll be guided through a deep and intuitive process of uncovering the long-held beliefs, emotional imprints, and subconscious programs that silently shape your life.

 

Together, you’ll identify the roots of recurring patterns—whether they show up in relationships, self-worth, health, or abundance—and begin to gently clear them.

 

This is healing work that doesn’t just treat symptoms; it transforms the foundation. As outdated beliefs are released and replaced with truths that support who you truly are, clients often experience profound shifts in clarity, confidence, and inner peace.

 

It’s a space for deep reconnection—with yourself, your truth, and the life you’re here to create.

Yoga Nidra

Yoga Nidra is a profound practice that intentionally guides you through various brain wave states, leading you towards the theta state, where profound healings can manifest. As you embark on this practice, embrace the awareness of this journey, and make a sincere commitment to remain fully present as I gently lead you into this transformative and healing state.

​

Yoga Nidra is a form of guided meditation also known as “yogic sleep” or “effortless relaxation”. It is practiced lying down and you are fully guided through the meditation.

 

The practice draws our attention inwards, and we learn to move between states of wakefulness and sleep, where our body finds its natural state of equilibrium (homeostasis) – the breath balances and becomes quiet, unconscious and conscious aspects of the mind reveal themselves, and we fall into an innate state of deep, blissful awareness.

​

As we rest here, we can turn our attention easily and effortlessly to the very nature of awareness and consciousness. We start to experience the ‘deeper’ features of yogic teachings, such as feeling our interconnected wholeness and becoming aware of our true, unified nature – expansive, inclusive, and deeply restful.

​

It is for absolutely anyone but is fabulous for those new to meditation and those that struggle with letting go of their thoughts.

 

It has immense value for those suffering from sleep deprivation, trauma, anxiety or depression (to any degree). It’s also perfect for those who have always been curious about the deep states of meditation they have perhaps read about or stumbled across themselves but have never been able to recreate.

Shamanic Breathwork

Shamanic Breathwork is a powerful practice that uses deep, rhythmic breathing to access altered states of consciousness, promoting emotional, physical, and spiritual healing. On a physical level, it enhances circulation, oxygenates the cells, and stimulates the body’s natural healing processes, leading to increased vitality and relaxation. The practice also reduces stress, alleviates anxiety, and improves sleep by activating the parasympathetic nervous system.

Emotionally, Shamanic Breathwork helps release stored traumas, limiting beliefs, and unresolved emotions, bringing a sense of emotional clarity and inner peace. Spiritually, it allows for deep self-exploration, offering transformative visions and connecting you to your higher self.

At Ananda, we combine Shamanic Breathwork with visualization techniques to dive deep within the subconscious, helping to clear outdated beliefs and programs that no longer serve your highest good. This holistic approach supports profound healing and transformation, empowering you to live a more authentic, aligned life.

Held either in the serene Buddha Room on Bay Street in Tweed Heads or at the magnificent Lighthouse nestled in the heart of Tallebudgera Valley, each experience is tailored to support your unique inner journey.

Sacred Alignment:

Shamanic Breathwork and Visualization to Tune into Your Heart’s Desire

We perceive what is in alignment with our own energetic frequency.

Our minds act like antennas, capable of tuning into an intention. When this intention is charged by the heart, a magnetic force is created that can attract different realities into our lives. Emotions are incredibly magnetic.

 

While many understand this theory, it becomes transformative when you experience it firsthand. By attuning yourself to a higher frequency, you open the space to attract what is truly meant for you.

 

Through deepening coherence between the mind and heart, we draw to us aligned synchronicities, people, and experiences, expanding our ability to manifest what is in perfect harmony with our highest self.

 

These sessions offer insight into working within the layers of consciousness. Designed for intimate groups of up to five people, these sessions can be built upon, allowing for a deeper exploration with each workshop. 

 

These sessions are scheduled each week and are limited to five people.

They can also be booked privately for yourself or up to five of your family or friends.  These private sessions are scheduled at a time that works best for you..

Sacred Sound Meditative Journey

A Guided Vibrational Healing Experience

In collaboration with the incredible healing power of Casey, biofield tuning practitioner and sound healer from The Biofield Body, we will be offering the Sacred Sound Meditative Journey each month.

 

Every session will guide you through a unique healing experience, exploring new vibrational frequencies and meditative practices to deepen self-awareness and spiritual connection. These journeys create a sacred space for healing, relaxation, and alignment with your highest self. Join us monthly for a new and transformative experience.
